Matheran (Forest in the forehead), nestled among the hills in Western Ghats. It is about 90 kms from Mumbai and 120 kms from Pune. It is a eco-sensitive region and Asia’s only automobile-free hill-station.
It is 800m AMSL. It is a hiker’s paradise and various look-out points, such as Charlotte lake, One Tree Hill Point, Heart Point, and Rambagh Point among many others.
